ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship I

Upon their arrival at the International Adaptive Surfing Community stage, ISA President Fernando Aguerre greeted them, saying:

“Today we are making history once again. Last year we surfed the first waves of the Adaptive Surfing swell and we have come together again to continue developing and growing the sport.”

“The quality and goodness of a society can be seen in the way it treats diverse people, in how it creates quality of life for everyone. This Adaptive Surfing Championship is our way of honoring this special surfing community.”

Not all of you will go home with medals, but everyone here is already a champion. You have come this far to represent your respective countries and the sport of Adaptive Surfing. Please enjoy these wonderful days of celebration and return home as ambassadors for Adaptive Surfing and the City of San Diego. Continue to share this passion for the sport.”
